Foundation Programs

Established in December of 2004, the Shad Ireland Foundation United States launched its first program, the Peg Smythe Fitness Grant, with great anticipation and immediate success. The program has helped thousands of patients in the United States and Canada to incorporate physical fitness and exercise into their daily life. The results speak for themselves. This program has helped patients, both children and adults, to create stability in their lives resulting in their ability to successfully live and succeed with a renal diagnosis.

Over the years the foundation has evolved its mission and the programs we offer to the renal community. We continue to remain a patient-centric organization through our ability to deliver innovative and dynamic programs that are highly regarded. The Shad Ireland Foundation delivers all of its programs FREE OF CHARGE, and we are dedicated to providing the entire renal community programs that are positive, and solution focused. Growth and Capacity Building

The Shad Ireland Foundation United States is a small, well run, and streamlined organization but we are at a point where we need to develop the organizations ability to grow, and build capacity. Directing your donation to our Growth & Capacity Building program will give the organization the ability to expand its reach while delivering a larger impact into the communities we serve.

Project Endowment

The Shad Ireland Foundation United States is embarking on an aggressive plan to move the organization toward self-funding. By directing your donation toward our project endowment initiative you will allow your donation to impact the community we serve over and over again. The objective is to build the organizations endowment to a point where we will not be solely dependant on charitable contributions in order to maintain our impact. If we are successful in building our endowment we will have the ability to reach our goal; the goal that Shad Ireland established for the organization, "100% of the organizations funding needs to be delivered back to the communities we serve."
